Membership (MACEE)

  • Candidates will have to register on this website after approval from Dean of the College Dr Praveen Aggarwal (AIIMS;email: peekay_124@outlook.in) anytime during the year.
  • Eligibility: Should fulfill all of the following eligibility criteria:
    • Graduation (MBBS) from a Medical Council of India-recognized college.
    • Worked in the Emergency Services/Department of a hospital for at least 6 months under a specialist holding a Medical Council of India-recognized post graduation or National Board of Examinations-recognized Diplomate of National Board in one of the following specialties:
      • Emergency Medicine
      • Medicine
      • Surgery
      • Anesthesiology
      • Orthopedics
      • Pediatrics
      • Obstetrics & Gynecology
      • Pulmonary Medicine
      • Family Medicine
    • The eligible candidates will appear for monthly online tests and will need to pass at least Nine of the twelve tests. Passing the final online examination is compulsory in addition to passing the monthly tests
    • Attendance in the Annual EM Review Course (EMPACT – Emergency Medicine Practices and Advanced Clinical Therapeutics) is compulsory. (Dates & Venue will be displayed on the website)
    • The candidate who is successful in completing final examination, will need to demonstrate skills in Emergency Medicine by appearing for an oral examination and they will be prepared for this examination by an oral examination review course (Dates and Venue to be checked on the website)
    • Each candidate has to acquire knowledge in various emergency skills and provide certified proof before the membership of the College is awarded. List of essential skills will be provided before enrolment
  • Membership will be awarded only at the Convocation which will in general be held during the annual INDUS-EM Summits. No Membership will be awarded in absentia.
  • Membership will start from the date of Convocation
  • This MACEE Program has a theory component which is a twelve month process followed by a Final Theory Examination in the thirteenth month. The whole process is strictly online.
  • There will be Monthly reading assignments for all registered Faculty. Details of the reading timetable and assignments are under the Link Titled "Calendar" at the website: www.faceeindia.org
  • Tintinalli Textbook of Emergency Medicine is the Standard Textbook to be used for reading.
  • There will be monthly tests of 50 multiple choice questions
  • Tests will be conducted on this web gateway every month between 15th 7.00 AM (Indian Standard Time ) and 27th 7 PM (Indian Standard Time) every month.
  • Passing is More than 70% correct answers (35 Questions)
  • There will be 12 Tests (One Test Every Month covering 200 pages of Tintinalli Every Test)
  • Registered candidates can log in and take the test only once every month.
  • Upon failure/missing you can take a repeat new test within the same period i.e. 15th -27th just one more time in the same month. 70% (35 questions) passing rule applies to repeat test takers also.
  • You have to pass Each test independently to move on to the next test in the following month
  • Once you log into the test the test will close in 60 Minutes upon which your score will be available.
  • Final Examination will be held in the thirteenth month and will be online (250 MCQ).

  • Any Candidate holding a Foreign Qualification / Training Experience in Emergency Medicine has to directly approach the College Authorities regarding status verification for pursuing the Membership Pathway.
  • The College reserves the right to accept a candidate to pursue the Membership pathway and will decide the same after proper scrutiny and the decision of the College will be final and non negotiable.
