What is the Role of ACEE-INDIA?
MCI/DNB has recognized Emergency Medicine as a specialty and has mandated hospitals and Medical colleges to initiate the creation of Departments of Emergency Medicine.
EM is a new Science to India and Emergency Cardiology is in its early stages of development.As a science, Emergency Cardiology is a collage of all disciplines as it is targeting towards addressing acute issues across existing faculties of Cardiology related Emergencies.
Fellowship of ACEE through Emergency Cardiology Pathway does not make you a cardiologist nor is it a degree. It is a pathway to Academic College of Emergency Experts in India and a mark of quality which drives you to be competent in creating a chest pain center, a cardiac chest pain unit and managing complicated cardiac emergencies in the Emergency Department Only.
This fact is both a challenge and an opportunity because firstly we will need trained teachers and competent healers which can be drawn from any discipline but these teachers and treaters will need to be brought to speed about Emergency Cardiology Knowledge from other disciplines. Example an Internist wanting to teach or practice Emergency Cardiology will have to learn systematically the science and practice of Emergency Cardiology.
To facilitate this process, FACEE through Emergency Cardiology Pathway is being founded with the Fellowship acting as an identity to create an Elite Group of Pioneers who have gone through the uniform and rigorous process of Learning and thus qualify to be Academic and Clinical Leaders in Teaching, Research, Innovation and Treatment at Emergency Departments across India.

Is it Mandatory that every clinician providing Emergency Cardiology Care is FACEE ?
ACEE thrives to be an Elite Group of pioneers who believe in the practice of Quality Emergency Care and are committed to innovation research and education in acute care. It is an independent Elite Forum of Experts who are recognized because of their commitment and who have been qualified through a process laid by the framework of their Platform which is their college (ACEE). Fellowship of ACEE is highly recommended for developing and growing this new discipline in India.

What is the EMCARD Summit?
EMCARD is an annual summit held every year in Goa and it is Mandatory to attend for all FACEE Candidates. Exact Dates and Venue Details are available through www.emcardindia.com. It is mandatory to get the Course Certificate in order to sit for the Final Examination.

When can I enroll for the FACEE Emergency Cardiology Pathway and when is the Final Theory examination?
The College has allowed any interested candidate to enroll at anytime during the year. The system is totally online so he can start taking the tests at anytime. He has to take twelve tests over twelve months in a monthly manner and his Final Examination is in the Thirteenth month. Refer to the Fellowship Link for details.
